if im number sixth on the waiting list will i get in the school?
I'm number sixth on the waiting list like i said above to go to Capital Prep Magnet School in Hartford. Is this an indication that i will get in the school, also i really want to go to this school it is good for my better meant and help me to get into the college I would like to get into. That college is Harvard Medical School or Medix School in Baltimore Maryland. Either that one or the other. Yeah and I'm really worried about it and I pray I get into that school.

That is something that you would have to ask your high school counselor about or rearch on your down and see what school you can get into with your grades and your financial status. Yes you do need to go to college. With most hospitals you need at least your Bachelors ( 4 Years ) degree or your Masters. You can get your Associates degree ( 2 years ).

Baltimore for me is similar to Richmond & Newark (Yes, what a weird comparison) Inside the city, if you're from a big town, it's like any other city. They'll let you know how dangerous the city is. Nickname for some is Bodymore, Murderland (I'm not making this up, way too much creativity for me!) But that depends like all places where you live. You'll find a good job, they're begging people to move/work in that area, it's the ugly stepchild that everyone locks in their basement & constantly tries to ignore until the floorboards start moving again. Jobs: Good, you'll like it, inner harbor everybody swears on & the suburbs aren't bad. Professionalism will get you in. School: If you mean for yourself U of MD is a great school syst, if you mean for your kids don't inflict that on them, g/f's dad works for balt & oh god, one of his 'colleagues' (teacher) just got busted for selling CRACK to Elem kids?!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!! So, for your kids please make sure they're outside the city. Rule: South of Baltimore to DC is 'urban' (You know what that means :-D). North & West to West Virg/PA you're going into hick/suburban country.

anyone know if it is likely that baltimore county maryland public schools will be out tom. because of snow?
there is a 70% chance of snow; i am hoping to get out of school. are there any teachers that would have any idea? i am right near the pennsylvania line; it is definitely going to snow. i just hope it's early enough to get us out of school all day. or at the least, get out 3 hours early

Lucky!! It was 85 degrees not three days ago. I haven't really seen "snow" persay, but more of an icy/sloshy mix. That doesn't factor in well for snowballs because they really hurt from the ice.

Looking for a dog grooming school in Maryland?
Looking for a dog grooming school in Maryland?
I would like to take an 'all breed' or full program dog grooming program in Maryland. I do NOT want some instructional video or online program, that doesn't seem adequate to me. But, I have only found two schools in all of Maryland and they both seem to be possibly closed! The Baltimore School or Grooming in Baltimore, MD and The Maryland School of Grooming in Silver Spring. Neither of them have websites! And both are impossible to reach via phone! Any suggestions? And if nothing in Maryland, I may have to stretch out to PA, DE or VA. Thank you!

Petsmart has a dog grooming training program. It's not very good, so if you want to become a top-notch groomer, definitely find a different school.

I started out as a brusher & bather in a Grooming Shop & was taught how to groom by the owner of the shop. No I did not get a certificate but my finished product spoke for it's self. I have know groomers that went to a 3 week course but did a very lousy job at grooming. Most shops won't hire you until you have had 3 to 5 years experience at grooming. I was lucky cause some of the shops here would exchange groomers, if one was having a slow day & the other shop needed a groomer we jumped from shop to shop, where ever we were needed. I learned all about Canine Behavior from going to a training school that specialized in aggression training, so in my grooming I specialized in Behavioral problems. I did not advertise, I relied on Vet referrals & word of mouth. I was 6 months into training before she let me do a dog all by myself. But even after 6 months sometimes she found places I had missed & would correct the clip. I loved grooming dogs. I especially enjoyed working with some of the temperamental dogs. Dogs that other groomer could not even get close to. Oh, I could go on & on & on............
